These are face-to-face groups but if restrictions are imposed\, we switch to virtual ones. Our support groups are run by parents and carers of children with additional needs. \nOur groups offer: \n\nFriendship\nOpportunities to socialise\nInformation and advice\nEmotional and moral support\nA listening ear\n\nAll our groups are open to parents and carers of children (0-25) with any additional need and or disability. We know families need support as early as possible\, so we do not need your child to have received a diagnosis for you to attend. DESCRIPTION:This event runs from 11:30am till 12:15pm \nJoin us to learn more about ADHD. The session with be lead by Somerset’s educational psychology service. \nAttention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects people’s behaviour. People with ADHD can seem restless\, may have trouble concentrating and may act on impulse. \nSymptoms of ADHD tend to be noticed at an early age and may become more noticeable when a child’s circumstances change\, such as when they start school. \nMost cases are diagnosed when children are 3 to 7 years old\, but sometimes it’s diagnosed later in childhood. \nSometimes ADHD was not recognised when someone was a child\, and they are diagnosed later as an adult. \nThe symptoms of ADHD usually improve with age\, but many adults who were diagnosed with the condition at a young age continue to experience problems. \nPeople with ADHD may also have additional problems\, such as sleep and anxiety disorders. \nRegistration is via the link below

They work closely together to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
