DESCRIPTION:Please join us for this virtual coffee session. Unfortunately we are unable to meet in person at the moment due to the restrictions placed upon us but we know how important it is to stay in touch with other parents. \nThis is also an opportunity to hear about local services and ask question from the provider directly. SUMMARY:Improving Outcomes for Children and Young people with SEND event
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday 26th January there will be 2 workshops on Education\, Health and Care plan (EHCP) assessments and the development of Somerset’s Outcomes framework. The sessions have been organised by the forum and will be jointly led with the statutory SEN team managers. \nThe event will include a 10 minute update on the current EHC plans and plans for the future\, followed by 3 workshops: \n\nWorkshop one focus is the information and support that is or that needs to be available during the process of applying for an assesment\nDiscussion on the appendix A form which collects the views of children\, young people and their families. This will help us to review the current form and plan any changes that need to be made\nWorkshop looking at what are the key outcomes\, which will ensure that children and young people have a good life. This information will be used to help shape the framework to measure the effectiveness of the work undertaken to make improvements.\n\nYou can book these sessions below. Please be aware that these events will not provide an opportunity to review individual cases and you will need to follow the normal process to do that. If you are not sure how to do this please email us and we will signpost you to the relevant department.
