The forum is a Community Interest Company (not for profit) and in line with this we have 3 directors.
The directors manage the day to day running of the forum and report to the steering group.
The role of a director includes ensuring the work undertaken fits with the ethos and aims of the company.
The role of the steering group is to help shape the direction of the forum. The steering group meets at least once every half term to review the work plan and set the future work.
The steering group also makes financial decisions and authorise any expenditure inline with the finance policy of the forum. Steering group members act as representatives attending meetings and events.
Representatives work with the directors and steering group to ensure parental views are fed back to those that provide local services.
They do this by talking to local families and using the information collected by the forum when attending meetings and events.
They also raise awareness of the forum and help to grow the forum’s SEND Community. You can find out more in the get involved section of the website.
