Unstoppables – Taster session 16:30-17:30

This event runs from 4:30pm till 5:30pm
The Unstoppables are a group of young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities aged between 13- 25 from Somerset. They make sure that the voice of young people with SEND is heard when people are making changes to services that affect us. They meet monthly to have fun, work on projects and learn new skills so that they can advocate for ourselves and others.
- They are unstoppable, not stopped by the difficulties that they have.
- They are ambassadors for other young people and they share our journeys to help professionals know what has worked for them.
- They learn and build on their skills to be able to do as much as they can ourselves.
- They work to make Somerset as accessible for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities as possible.
- They help others understand it’s about what they can do, and not about what they can’t do.
