About Us

Somerset Parent Carer Forum is a parent led organisation, with all the people leading our working having a child or young person between birth to 25 years with additional needs and/or disabilities.

The forum started in October 2012 by an independent group of parent carers united by their experiences, passion and commitment to improve outcome for children, young people and their families.

In 2016 the forum became a Community Interest Company (CIC) which has enabled us to grow and adapt to the needs of parent carers in Somerset.

We believe we are stronger together and we want to involve as many parent carers as possible. We invite all parent carers in Somerset, to join us. You can find out more about how you can do this in our getting involved section.
