The SEND reforms consultation seeks views on proposed changes to the special educational needs and disabilities system. We want to make sure the voices of families are at the heart of our response to the SEND and Alternative Provision reforms consultation. To support this, we have already held two team sessions to review and reflect on the feedback shared by families.

We also arranged a presentation from Polly Kerr of Simpson Millar Law Firm, which helped us understand the legal implications of the proposed reforms (see below)

In addition, we have created a Padlet where parent carers and others can easily share their thoughts and experiences. You can answer as many or as few questions as you like, and every comment will help shape our response.

We will also be holding a live online session on Thursday 14 May 6:30 -8pm to talk through some of the main themes from the consultation and hear your views directly. We are pleased to be joined by Heather Shearer and Diogo Rodrigues.
