The Somerset Dyslexia Association (SDA) is a voluntary group based in Somerset, dedicated to supporting anyone with dyslexia, as well as those who help and work with them. We provide up to date information, practical support, and work to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia across the community.
Building on the work of the previous charity of the same name, which closed in 2025, we use the knowledge and experience gained to continue supporting Somerset’s dyslexic community.
We do this by:
- Keeping in regular contact with people with dyslexia, schools, and local organisations.
- Encouraging engagement with the whole dyslexic community and those who support them, and listening to their needs.
- Promoting the reputation of the Somerset Dyslexia Association to reflect our mission, values, and aims.
- Signposting to other agencies that can provide further support and guidance when needed.
The Somerset Parent Carer Forum CIC helps the Somerset Dyslexia Association (SDA) by managing back-office tasks and supporting governance.
